Dungeons and Dragons Classes
Warlocks are the magical caster in Dungeons and Dragons that has made a pact with an otherworldly creature or deity in exchange for magical aptitude and power now. There are many patrons (the magical power granters) that a Warlock could find themselves bound to. You could have sworn your soul away to a demon/devil, or had your mind awakened to the horror and power granted by Cthulu or a Kraken, or even magically awakened by the fleeting whim of an Archfey! An excellent example of a Warlock in modern media is Eleven from Stranger Things who is bonded to the Demogorgon from the Upside Down dimension. She was an unwilling host for magic as opposed to choosing to have it but regardless, the patron of magical power that was the Demogorgon did not have the best relationship with their warlock as she was constantly trying to thwart his plans with his own powers. She would have been a normal girl if it weren't for her gaining telekinetic powers and more from the Upside Down!

My Review of Halo: Combat Evolved
You’ll probably think this is hilarious, but I’ve never played a Halo game before. I haven’t been an obsessive gamer for decades but I think of myself as better-than-casual and my Steam library and achievements are pretty decent and broad, but I could never get into most things that hordes of other people become slavering mad-people over. I HATE fanboys, mostly. As a result, I never caught Halo fever. It wasn’t until recently that my best friend started telling me all about the story and nagging me to play it that I decided to give it a shot if I could find it on sale. Well, Steam is having their Autumn sale at this time of writing, and the Master Chief Collection was 23 bucks Canadian, so I say the heck with it and purchased.

Skyrim Builds Weekly
I LOVE Skyrim. To an almost unhealthy level. I think most people do, especially judging by the number of people who own(ed) it, still play it daily or weekly, and a modding community that has kept it alive for a decade with more mods being added and updated daily. Over a million of them last I heard from the Nexus (the web’s premier modding community). I have nearly 2,000 hours logged into my game (though some of that is due to leaving it on and logged in for entire weekends when I wasn’t home, or overnight, AND sharing it with my daughter who plays it at least every couple days by herself). Todd Howard and Bethesda are marketing geniuses.

Telltale Games: the Lesson About Capitalism That Nobody Wants to Learn From
The games industry is abuzz with news that popular game developer studio Telltale Games, put on the map for its beloved title “The Walking Dead Season One” is shutting its doors. An outpouring of support from game studios across the world is reaching out to the hundreds of former Telltale employees who were laid off in a mass firing that a class action lawsuit from former Telltale developers alleged had violated California state and American federal labor laws. Some would say that the rest of the industry is callously scavenging, picking the Telltale corpse clean, looking for little morsels of talent.
