Nicktoons Video Games
Heard of The Avengers? Fuck that! This is the greatest crossover event in history. As a child of the early 2000s the Nicktoons Unite games were the coolest thing ever. A game series bringing together the biggest Nickelodeon characters of the time, SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Timmy Turner, and ya boi, Daniel Phantom. They did a whole bunch of these, and today I want to talk about them. This era was an interesting time, where there was a lot of cross platform licensed games, often from different developers. I decided to play through all the GBA versions of these Nickelodeon classics. Why not play the console versions that have actual cutscenes and voice acting that is probably better content to talk about? Because I didn’t play those versions when I was a kid! This is what I could afford, so shut up!

Nintendo made a Super Mario Battle Royale!
Back when the Nintendo Switch online service was announced I remember seeing the trailer for Tetris 99 and wondering how on earth they were going to pull off a Tetris Battle Royale. To my surprise, Nintendo nailed it, allowing the game to feel whole heartedly like a Tetris title while still providing the added depth and high stakes action of a battle royale title.

My Thoughts on Crown Tundra
When I originally finished the Pokemon Sword and Shield base game I was admittedly underwhelmed with the postgame. Other than battling online, the battle tower, and Dynamax Raids there wasn’t a whole lot of content to keep me coming back to the Galar Region and I placed all my faith on the Expansion Pass offering a more robust post game.

"Dummy Apps"
Hey everyone! Since Covid struck and with a lot of people stuck with no job there are a lot more "paying apps" on google play store. How many of you have actually gotten paid though? I myself have been trying to earn money with these apps since last year, only to be let down when close to the cash out point. Knife Bounty let me get up to $95.02 pretty quickly, then abruptly stopped giving me cash. For about a month I continued playing, not wanting to believe the cash out was never going to come. Whenever I should have received cash all I got was apples. I wrote numerous complaints to the developer but received no response. Then there was Word Juicy who glitched out, then suddenly disappeared from both my phone and google play store all on the same day when I was less than a dollar away from the $100 cash out requirement. I believe it now goes under the name Word Sweety. That developer assured me I would get paid once meeting the cash out requirements, but then made that impossible. There was also Lucky Dollar who almost allowed me to reach cash out, after a month or so of playing faithfully every day, anticipating the $50 cash out. I was only .06 away from $50 when that game also disappeared from my phone and google play store. The Idle games all lured me in with rapid cash rewards, even allowed me to meet the cash out point on one of there games, only to inform me of all the other requirements, ( such as needing to reach a level that was way out of reach ) and then it to vanished from the play store. Word Connect ( the original ) was one of my favorite games, but it too let me down. When I reached $90 it started paying me .01 every 15 -20 levels so that cash out was never reached. All these apps bombarded me with ads, while also infecting my phone with adware viruses.

Did Scribblenauts reach it's peak too early?
In today's society it's safe to say that the gaming industry has boomed better than ever. Not to mention it has become extremely marketable to the point where it can provide potential careers. One reason in particular why is because graphics have become more of a priority than anything else. If you're not convinced check out literally any game that's being released and you'll see that the overall consumers prefer a game with "Good" or "Realistic" graphics, not to mention developers spend more time on it. Although this is the case there are other factors of a good game, one would be Sribblenauts (2009) by 5th Cell.

A Dishonored Salute
The lapping sounds of sea water against the side of the small rowboat are echoing against the damp, moss lined bricks of the bridge you are passing under quietly. The sun is setting fast on the horizon to ready the night for your actions. In the distance you can see the high mounted city of Dunwall and its twinkling lights powered by the whale oil fuels that are being harvested on a daily basis. A whaler ship is passing into the docks just ahead of you with its latest capture mounted and hung above the rear of the ship. If you listen carefully you can hear its kin in the sea around you singing and mourning for the loss.

Hogwarts Legacy: Is This the Game Harry Potter Fans Have Been Waiting For?
Well, Potter fans, what do you think? Is it finally going to happen? Are we going to get the wizarding video game that we’ve been dreaming of for so many years? A truly immersive experience in which we get to not only observe Harry’s years at Hogwarts (like in the original book-compliant games and the admittedly very funny Lego versions) but to become students ourselves and, perhaps, even change the wizarding world?
