The Crazed Cat stage, Dark Souls is one of the first Crazed Cat battles that players will encounter in The Battle Cats. It’s a tough challenge for beginners, but with the right strategy, units, and timing you can defeat Crazed Cat and add him to your collection.

This guide will break down everything you need to know: the enemy lineup, recommended units, an effective strategy, and some tips to make the fight easier.

Stage Overview

  • Energy Cost: 200
  • Enemy Base's HP: 400,000 HP
  • Difficulty: 7 Stars
  • Boss: Crazed Cat
  • Reward: Crazed Cat

Enemy Overview

In the Dark Souls (Insane) stage, you’ll face a tough lineup of enemies that can quickly overwhelm an unprepared team. Here’s what you need to know about them:

Crazed Cat: This is the main boss of the stage. While it doesn’t have massive damage or range, it makes up for it with high speed and relentless attacks. If you don’t keep it in check with meatshields and knockbacks, it will quickly tear through your units.

Le’boin: A serious threat due to its long attack range and high damage. It can easily wipe out your mid-range attackers, so you’ll need strong, long-distance units to counter it.
Teacher Bear: With its high health and powerful attacks, Teacher Bear is another major challenge. It appears mid-fight to support Crazed Cat, making the battle even harder. If not dealt with quickly, it will become a huge problem.

Doge, Snache, and Croco: These smaller enemies may not seem like a big deal, but they spawn constantly and can mess up your attack timing. They also make it harder for your units to focus on the real threats. Clearing them efficiently is key.

Loadout and Recommened Cats

To beat this stage we will need to have a good loadout first. But don't worry, it won't include any rare gacha units. This is the loadout you should use in order to beat the stage:

  • Meatshields: Macho Cat, Boogie Cat, Catburger, Wall Cat (All at Lv. 20+)
Damage Dealers: Dragon Cat, Bahamut Cat, Paris Cat (Also all at Lv. 20+)

If you have unlocked the evolutions to any of these cats please go with them instead. With that load out you will have one more slot. Here are the best additional cats to fill it with:
  • Long-Distance Cats: Units such as Prisoner Cat can attack from afar, staying out of reach of enemies like Le'boin.
  • Uber Rare Cats: Ubers usually deal huge damage or provide good support, if you have any of them that might be useful for this stage consider adding them to the loadout.

And as for items make sure to use: Cat CPU and Sniper the Cat

Step-by-Step Strategy.

At the start of the battle, focus on building your money. Only send out Wall Cats to slow down the enemies. Do not use 75¢ meatshields yet, as they might push too far and trigger Crazed Cat before you're ready. Your goal is to max out your Worker Cat upgrades and save as much money as possible. Once you reach max money, stop spawning Wall Cats and let the enemies move closer to your base. This will give you a better setup for stacking stronger units.

When the enemies are near your base, start stacking Bahamut Cats. Let Bahamut attack the smaller enemies while Wall Cats protect him. Be careful not to push too fast. If Bahamut moves too far forward, you might trigger Crazed Cat too soon. To stop this from happening, use the Cat Cannon to make Bahamut miss an attack and stay in position. If your third Bahamut is almost ready, you can continue. Otherwise, it might be better to restart. Another option is to let the small enemies hit your base while you slowly build up Long Distance Cats, which won’t attack the peons but will be ready for the main battle.

When Crazed Cat spawns, start spamming meatshields and send out all your attackers. Protect Bahamut at all costs, as he deals the most damage. Sniper the Cat will help knock back Crazed Cat, giving your units time to hit Le’boin and Teacher Bear. If you want more time before enemy reinforcements arrive, you can let Crazed Cat come closer to your base first, but make sure you can handle the extra enemies when they appear. If controlling everything at once is too difficult, Cat CPU can help manage unit spam.

Once you gain control, keep attacking until Crazed Cat and his support are defeated. Then, quickly destroy the enemy base before another Crazed Cat spawns. If done right, you’ll clear the stage and unlock Crazed Cat as a new unit.
