Catching Up With The Original '90 Day Fiancé' Couples
Season 1 debuted in 2014, and we sure have some catching up to do with the original 4 couples that launched the show

While the modern TLC viewer has become used to the variety of 90 Day Fiancé shows such as tell all shows, happily ever after's, before the 90 days, etc., it's easy to forget that it all started with four couples who put themselves out there on national TV. Viewers are also used to the messy conversations and situations that come with the K-1 Visa, but every season hasn't been a complete meltdown for everyone.
While it might seem like every K-1 situation ends in disaster, how has the experience gone for the original 4 couples? With this article, we will catch up with the season 1 alumni and see if they're not only still married, but see what they have been up to since appearing on the show.
Alan and Kirlyam Cox

Marital Status: still together
Like many other 90 Day couples, Alan and Kirlyam had a significant age gap. While serving a Mormon mission in Brazil, Alan met Kirlyam when she was just 12-years old... and he was 20. The couple confronted this controversy from the start and assured viewers that their relationship did not turn romantic until 8 years after they met, when Alan returned to Brazil for a visit.
Kirlyam came to California on a K-1 Visa when she was 21 and married Alan within the 90-day timeframe. Flash forward to 2025 and the couple is still happily married in North Carolina with two sons. According to Google, Alan is working as a designer and photographer, while Kirlyam is a stay-at-home mother.
Louis and Aya Gattone

Marital Status: still together
Louis and Aya met on an international dating website and after spending less than two weeks together in person, Aya came to Indiana from the Philippines. After a lot of scrutiny from Louis' ex-wife, the couple married and have continued to live in Indiana. The couple shares two sons with Louis' ex-wife and have two sons of their own, along with a small furniture & jewelry business called Lola Lily's.
Mike and Aziza Eloshway

Marital Status: still together
Mike and Aziza's future took a pretty drastic turn, but it all started when Aziza came to Ohio from Russia on a K-1 Visa after meeting Mike online. After a fairly rocky start with Mike's family, the couple married and had a daughter in 2019.
However, Mike was arrested on child pornography charges in 2024 in the state of Ohio. Aziza released a letter in support of her husband and the couple is supposedly still together, despite Mike being sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in prison.
Russ and Paola Mayfield

Marital Status: still married
Perhaps the most "famous" couple from the show's inaugural season, Russ and Paola appeared on four seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? But, it all started in season 1 when Paola came to Oklahoma from Columbia on a K-1 Visa after meeting Russ while he was working as a field engineer in the oil industry. Paola was definitely a fish out of water when she came to the United States as she didn't quite fit into the conservative lifestyle that Russ' parents and the state of Oklahoma are accustomed to.
After briefly relocating to Florida, the couple returned to Oklahoma with their son. Russ is still an engineer with his own company and Paola is an amateur wrestler under the name La GOAT Columbiana.
