Movie Review: 'Lego Ninjago'
Lego Ninjago has not one single laugh. It has amusing moments but not a single instance of induced laughter. And I am not just speaking for myself here. The audience I watched Lego Ninjago with was really ready to laugh and you could hear some forced attempts at trying to laugh but as the movie went on even those that kept smiling and trying to find what was happening in Lego Ninjago funny weren’t laughing. It was strange; there was no outward disdain for Lego Ninjago but there weren’t any laughs.

Culture Clash
After two years of waiting in between movies, Kingsman: The Golden Circle finally came out. I was stoked to see this new movie because I LOVED the first Kingsman and I couldn't wait for more. After seeing the preview I was really looking forward to it and was expecting the American crossover, but not in the way I thought.

The Time for Robin Has Come
A little while ago Gotham’s Bruce Wayne – David Mazouz submitted the idea he would love to play Robin in the DCEU. More specifically he’d like to play the Damian Wayne incarnation of Robin. It is an interesting concept to have an actor from another DC property play another character, especially when that character is playing the young, in-training, future Batman and wants to try out for the character’s son. Regardless of the actor, I would argue it may be time for Robin to come back.

The Guardian Brothers
I wasn't sure what to make of The Guardian Brothers when I sat down and put it on. It's been nearly two years since it was released in China and it recently made its way to Netflix. I had no idea of the cast of voice actors that were going to be present until the opening credits began rolling. Harry Potter Fanfiction: Headcannon Vs. Fannon.
Harry Potter is a great series, with an epic-sized fanbase. Of course, with any fandom, there are fans that want to extend the stories through materials such as fan art and fanfiction. With most things, there is a bunch of shorthand that seems to be a language of its own. Some examples are 'head cannon' and 'fanon.' Head cannon is something that you as the reader make up as you read a book. Stuff like coming up with little backstories of secondary characters that don't get much 'screen time' in the book, and explanations for plot holes in the stories that just never get resolved. On the other hand, fanon is something akin to what fans establish in fanfiction that repeats in other stories. Harry Potter is so accessible to fans that everything from fan art, fan fiction, and heck even things like Wizard Rock bands have cropped up during the height of the popularity of Harry Potter. I am going to focus on aspects of fanfiction for Harry Potter.
