Crystalis for the NES
Crystalis, originally called God Slayer: Haruka Tenkū no Sonata, was released by SNK in 1990. The story begins in 1997, because that was like so far in the future waaay back then, and war engulfs the world and destroys civilization, but miraculously, someone builds a flying tower. Are you kidding?

Roblox - The Birth of a New Era of Gaming?
Roblox is a massively multiplayer online gaming platform that allows it's users to browse through a selection of games and play them. The difference with this type of gaming is that the games on the front page change quite frequently and I wondered why. It is in fact, due to the ever-changing frequency of new games being made by none other than the users them self. The community that forms Roblox's fan base are made up of people who like to simply play the games, but there is another core part of Roblox that appeals to people as well and that is the fact that anyone can make a game and get paid for it.

'Friday the 13th' Game Review
Friday the 13th and Jason Vorhees, probably the second biggest horror franchise right behind Nightmare on Elm Street. The films, while some are better than others (I'd say the best ones are Part 2", Part 4: Jason Dies and Part 7 ala Jason vs Carrie) all (well except for part 9 and part 10) all have a certain atmosphere to them that makes even the worst of the series, that makes them just work. Camp Crystal Lake is extremely eerie at night, imagine being in that situation, imagine being in one of the camps from the films and trying to survive Jason. That's such a good, simple premise that's it amazing that it hasn't been done before as a video game. Or imagine BEING Jason and just straight up gutting counselors. That's the experience this game tries to duplicate and it does a fairly good job.

The Nintendo Switch Is Fantastic
Let's just get this out of the way: Nintendo is a frustrating company. For every good move they make, it seems like they take a couple steps back. They don't understand the internet, they have a goldmine on their hands with the Virtual Console but they don't maximize their profits like they could. Then there was the Wii U, which died an excruciating death.

Legend of the Ghost Lion for the NES
Known in Japan as White Lion Densetsu, and based on a movie of the same name, Ghost Lion is a really cool NES RPG. This game’s mechanics are odd in comparison to other RPGs of the time, and odd in comparison with just about any other RPGs, truthfully.

The RTS Genre and What Killed It
This is how it all began. What you see here is an oscilloscope hooked up to a homebrew computer system and two analog sticks. It was called Tennis for Two and used for developing and playing what is probably the first video game ever, also called Tennis for Two, in 1958.

App Review: "Applike"
So, I'm sure by now, anyone who's gone through a game and has had to sit through a commercial or an ad to get that bonus boost has seen the commercial for it. The little star, bouncing around between games and across the on-screen text to a boppin' beat that you can't help but want to download, claiming that you can make money from something as simple as playing games!

Beginner's Guide to 'Lego Dimensions'
Lego Dimensions, to anyone on the outside, sounds like some crack fanfiction a child who has consumed way too much candy came up with on a school playground, which is what makes it freaking awesome. What if the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz traded out her flying monkeys for Gremlins? What if Finn and Jake from Adventure Time joined the Doctor to stop Voldemort? And somehow all of this is connected to The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie, two of the best family films released in the last five years? The game features an ever-growing roster of characters, and throws them all into a playground of the imagination. And, somehow, all this chaos has a story! Arcs! There is a method to this madness! All of this content may seem a little overwhelming to the average guy just discovering Lego Dimensions, but, with this little guide, maybe this phenomenon may be a little easier to figure out.

Destiny: Age of Wrap-Up
[I wrote the first part of my Destiny review after having played through (and been disappointed by) the abrupt and surprising lack of content in Vanilla Destiny. This piece covers the completed game, about two years after I wrote my conflicted and irritated original review.]
