Movie Review: 'LBJ'
I don’t understand racism. It’s strange to write that down but it’s no less true, racism doesn’t make any sense. Why does skin color matter? What is it about skin color that bothers people? What could possibly cause a person to believe that their skin makes them superior? It baffles me. Life is hard enough, why carry such an unnecessary and bizarre hatred on top of that? I find that in my life I need as many friends as I can make. The world makes more sense when you connect with people. To rule out connecting with someone over something like the color of their skin is just not something I can make any sense of.

Monochrome Dreams
As a film fan, and a filmmaker, I am always dazzled when a director takes an old medium and reinvents it for modern audiences… Sometimes this can be as easy as a new take on an old shot, a new way to use old equipment, or a re-imagining of a once oft practiced routine…

Top 10 Must-Watch Studio Ghibli Films
After watching so many films and studying many more while I earned my degree in Film Studies, I got to thinking about what really got me so interested in film in the first place. I remembered watching Spirited Away and Kiki's Delivery Service so many times when I was young that my grandmother gave me the nickname Kiki, which my family still calls me to this day. Studio Ghibli has never once disappointed me with their films, I may not like some as much as others, but I've liked them enough to start collecting every film they have ever produced.

Animals Rising
Between the impacts of climate change and humankind’s more conscious efforts to destroy wild habitats, it’s easy to view the natural world as being widely under siege and in retreat. Two recent films show how, pushed to the brink, the animal world might someday choose to strike back. Both are revenge fantasies in which cold-blooded humans are forced to pay the price for their speciesism — the term that philosopher and animals’ rights activist Peter Singer coined more than 40 years ago — and outright brutality. That both are from Eastern Europe is probably coincidental, as the sensibilities of the films are completely different.

Dope: A Coming of Age Story of A Modern Nerd Braving The Hood 🤓💊🔮🖖🏿
So on one of my #NetflixandChill nights by myself, I watched the indie movie Dope last year. Now this movie was produced by Pharrell William’s production company iamOther and was directed by the director of such great ’90s movies such as The Wood and Brown Sugar.

The Harry Potter Movies Ranked From Best to Worst
Okay, so one of the best movie series out there is the Harry Potter series, which is very popular for us 90's kids who grew up with the books and the movies. I mean let's face it, Harry Potter is just plain awesome. But there's always been a debate as to which was the best book or movie and which one sucked the most. Now, most are different because everyone has different tastes but nonetheless all of the Harry Potter movies are awesome so I'm going to rank them in what I think is best to worst and we'll go from there.

10 Best Indie Movies
These movies are mostly romantic, but they really hit you in the heartstrings. 'Camille' This cute movie is actually a weird, wtf-just-happened kinda movie. The girl, Camille, is a chatty Kathy good girl and James Franco plays a bad boy who hates life. They end up getting married and go on their honeymoon to the most romantic place, Niagara Falls. As they get going on their roadtrip, they crash, leaving Camille feeling funny. Watch as it unfolds and shows some of the weird things that happen when you have near death experiences, or death experiences.

Best Gangster Movies
Many of the best movies in American cinema are crime movies and gangster films. Some of our best filmmakers, like Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, have always had a fascination with gangster films. As a result, much of their greatest work deals with the depiction of organized crime.

The Life of Sirius Black
There are millions of fan theories all over the years from every possible character out of the Harry Potter universe that you could possibly imagine. They differ from believable and unique, to far-fetched and even smutty. The point is, there's something out there for everyone. One of the first theories that ever took shape in my mind was of Sirius. How could one person be so different from his family? There's always the 'black' sheep in many families, but Sirius wins, I think. So, here's another fan theory from a perspective of Sirius.
