Superman has saved the world so many times that it’s practically de rigueur for the Red and Blue Son of Krypton to come to our defense when, say, Brainiac comes flying down with his tentacled horrors to try and shrink Metropolis the same way he did Kandor — which, apparently, Superman keeps under a bell jar in the Fortress of Solitude. (Which, by the way, the U.S. government wants to send inspectors into, just to make sure Supes isn’t secretly stockpiling weapons. Superman pleads the Fifth, but maybe he is stockpiling something. Although, beyond Martha Kent’s Dutch apple pie, I can’t imagine what.)

Continued from weekend 1... Mothers! Being in the renaissance festival community, many of us are lucky to have several mentor figures around. Many wonderful people who we can go to as Maternal and Paternal figures as well as friends and other guides and help. Jarl Aesa is one woman who has been an incredible mentor to me in the last few years in terms of how to lead and protect a group. This is her final season at the festival before retiring. She Will be missed, but her retirement and weekend rest is well earned.

Now I do my best to bring my characters to life using apps like factory of heroes, swordmaker, armormaker, you doodle and photo cutout. They don't always turn out looking very good but I get more excited about the concepts and stories behind the characters than how well I can make the character look good. Sometimes my characters are from cultures I am not a part of because I think it fits their story or other aspects about them. I am not a cultural expert but at the very least I hope no one is upset by me using aspects of cultures I'm not a part of and find interesting. While reviews for the MCU debut of Marvel's first family Fantastic Four: First Steps, have been somewhat mixed, however, the film's depiction of Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, as played by Vanessa Kirby, has earned near-universal praise. Aside from Kirby's scene stealing performance as the character, long time Marvel fans have lauded First Steps for it's improved use of Sue's powerset compared to previous adaptations, giving her her due as perhaps the most powerful member of the team, and the public face of the Four as head of the Future Foundation.
