I Reached 1,000 Views on My Horror Blog in Two Months

What is the next step for my blog?

I’m happy to see that I have now reached 1,025 views on my horror blog. This is a huge achievement for me, and I reached my goal much faster than I did with my old blog.

It appears that people are somehow finding me through the Google algorithm, and I have no idea how!

I’m currently using multiple ways to advertise my horror blog:

Pinterest (I’m not sure if I’m even reaching anyone through this app, but a lot of people do like to post horror related stuff on there! I kind of stopped posting through Pinterest, but I think I should continue. What if I am getting some kind of algorithm going through there)?

Benable (I’m not sure why I’m bothering to advertise through this one. Books are much better advertisement on this app, but I did it for the hell of it lol. And guess what? I ended up reaching the payout limit on Benable of $80 too! With horror books)!

Quora (This is my best one so far. I post a link to my blog on there for every updated post, and people show up to read my blog! I'm still learning how to work out the app, and I think I'm planning to stick with the app in the long run)!

Twitter (This one appears to be working too, so I’m going to keep at it. It's just so hard to reach a certain number of followers. My goal is to hit 100 followers, but I'm still stuck at 30ish followers. I guess we shall see if I reach my goal or not by the end of the year lol).

Medium (This is another writing platform that I have really come to love. I started my love for the horror genre on Medium through short horror stories or other kinds of horror topics. The earnings used to be awesome, but ever since the CEO or whatever made a huge change, a lot of writer's earnings have gone down. I now make about $20 per month, but I do write for fun only, so I guess something is working lol)!

So, what is the next step for my blog?

I want to now monetize my blog.

I’ve already gotten rejected the first time I applied for the monetization three weeks ago. There are several reasons why I was rejected.

Minimum content requirements (I genuinely have no idea what the hell this means).

Make sure your site has unique high-quality content and a good user experience (Bruh, I thought my quality was already enough for the blog??? It’s a horror blog, not a step-by-step cooking manual! And I made it easy for everyone to read)!

Thin Content (What the heck does this mean?)

Webmaster quality guidelines (And what the hell is this?)

I’m planning to figure out what any of this means, because I’m so lost when it comes to the blogging world. I’m posting horror stuff on my blog for fun, but I’m genuinely curious if I can achieve becoming monetized!

From what I have learned, Blogger is pretty picky when it comes to monetization. Some bloggers have mentioned that you should already have a certain amount of views to get approved. Maybe if I eventually hit 10,000 views, I might have a chance? I guess I will find out!

And if I do, I will write a full review on how to achieve this for any future bloggers who are interested in using Blogger!

Do any of you have a blog? And if so, do you have any idea what these policy violations could mean?

Thank you for reading!
