Freedom Should be Having a Say in MY Body

abortion laws

Pro-Choice Rally in St. Petersburg

As a young women in America, I have witnessed many things go wrong in this country. But this is another level of wrong. Latley everyone has been telling me I have "nothing to worry about" because I live in a state where abortion has not become illegal, but what about the millions of other women who DO live in states where it is illegal? Though the seperation of church and state do not appare in the First Amendment, the establishment clause was intended to seperate church and state. So why bring it in now?

I understand personal beliefs, but key word it is personal. If you dont agree with abortions simply do not get one. But there are many valid reasons to get an abortion and due to them mixing church and state many women cannot get them, even if its life or death. This country is supposed to be "Land of the Free", but in reality there isnt anything free about this place. Women are losing their rights and it feels like we are going back in time to where people of older generations have fought to get us out of so hardly.

What happens if a women has a high risk of dying during a pregnancy? Her and the fetus could die. Or what if a women gets rapped and becomes pregnant? The state is going to make those women go through with it. This law is inhumane and needs to be changed. And im hoping that it does because i do not want to live in a country with little to no freedom over MY body.
