Unity Brings Blessings
This is a story about unity, cooperation, and the strength that comes from standing together.

Once upon a time, there lived a sparrow and a crow. Between the two of them, there existed intense hostility. The sparrow spent her days collecting grains for her young chicks. She would pick up food in her beak, return to the nest to feed her children, and then fly off again to gather more. On the other hand, the crow constantly watched her movements with an evil intention. He waited patiently for the moment when the sparrow would leave her nest unattended so that he could attack the helpless chicks and make them his prey.
One day, as the sparrow was about to fly away to collect food for her children, she sensed the crow’s wicked plan. Acting quickly and bravely, she launched a sudden and fierce attack on the crow. She struck him repeatedly with such force that he was left badly injured and barely able to move. The crow, shocked and wounded, somehow managed to save his life and fled back to his own nest.
Although the sparrow had succeeded in driving the crow away, her heart was still restless. She feared that in her absence, the crow might recover and return to harm her children. The thought of leaving her chicks alone filled her with anxiety. Realizing that she could not protect them alone all the time, she decided to seek help from others.
The sparrow first went to a pigeon and explained the entire situation to him. She told him about the crow’s cruel intentions and her fear for her children’s safety. The pigeon listened carefully and assured her with sincerity that he would help in every possible way. He promised to keep a watchful eye on her nest and protect her chicks whenever she was away.
Next, the sparrow visited a dove and shared her worries once again. The dove, too, expressed full support and promised to stand by the sparrow in her time of need. Encouraged by this response, the sparrow continued visiting other birds. One by one, she spoke to all the flying creatures of the area and requested their help. Moved by her concern as a mother, they all agreed to take responsibility for the safety of her children.
The very next day, as usual, the sparrow left her nest to gather food for her chicks. Believing the sparrow to be absent and helpless, the crow returned, thinking this was his chance to attack. He swooped down toward the nest with the intention of seizing the chicks.
As soon as the sparrow’s children sensed danger, they began to cry loudly. Their cries echoed through the air. The moment these cries were heard, all the sparrow’s companions rushed to the scene. Pigeons, doves, and many other birds attacked the crow from all sides. Confused and overwhelmed, the crow flew here and there, unable to understand where the attacks were coming from.
Surrounded and frightened, the crow realized that he stood no chance against so many united birds. In the end, he decided that fleeing was the only way to save his life. With his tail tucked in fear, the crow ran away and never dared to return.
When the sparrow came back with grains in her beak and found her children safe and unharmed, her joy knew no bounds. Her heart overflowed with gratitude. She personally went to each of her animal friends and thanked them sincerely. It was because of their unity, cooperation, and support that her children’s lives had been saved.
This story clearly shows that unity brings strength and protection. When individuals stand together and help one another, even the strongest enemy can be defeated. Cooperation and mutual support turn weakness into power, proving that there is indeed great blessing in unity.
