These events are based on a true story!
3:21 on a Tuesday's last stand, and these claims are kicking my but and the callers are not letting up. Pulled up on the final break of the day. I was time to take my usual walk around the building and destress the day and all the other problems that may seem to surface up at any unannounced time. Surprisingly, I received a text from a young lady I met in Houston some time ago. We exchanged words one to the other. I'm not one for texting as part of a conversation, but she was well worth the thumb exercise.
I guess she was in the mood of testing the waters and to see if what I told her, I would deliver on my word. Little did she know that I was head manager at the local distribution center and I knew how to make things happen. Nonetheless, her text said, "you owe me a cooked dinner". Then she followed with the need to have a late night dinner with a handsome man. In my mind, I said that this would be no hard task, but that Dallas traffic during rush hour was no joke.
So after telling me her favorite dish, I responded, "no problem, I'm leaving after work". Then she text a picture of her laying on an open couch with red bottoms on. I soon forgot about the long ten-hour day and found the burst of energy that gave the motivation to drive to Houston and cook this young lady dinner. The clock finally struck 6pm and it was time to go. I figured I would hit the supermarket up when I reach Conroe, and this will give me time to slow down and stop thinking about the last text transmission.
A few hours later, and one energy drink, I made it to Conroe and gave her a call to ask what kind of wine would she like with dinner. She seemed taken away, but did not believe I was in town until I shared my location with her. A moment of silence came over the phone and she gave me her choice of a soft Riesling, that could easily pair with my famous spaghetti pasta. Side tip, I said this before, I decided to pick some flowers from the supermarket florist (hands down the best) to give a simple gesture to my arrival.
Finished up in Conroe and made my way to Katy. Told her that I would see her in about 40 minutes and she gave to softest, sexiest laugh I have know to all of mankind. I could have been me and long drive, but I was willing to do everything right to allow that night to be just right. Pulled up to her place and took a long count to ten. If I didn't know any better, she could have put something in my drink the last time we met. The vibe was still fresh like we just met yesterday. The hour was late, and I came in and went right to cooking. Had to pay less attention to her, because dinner would not have started if I kept looking.
She placed the table and put the wine on chill. Lit a candle or two and turned down the music and the mood was nice and slow. She came behind me as I was cooking at the stove and wrapped her arms around me. Nature at this point almost knocked dinner right off the stove. She said, as her Tom Ford scent gave weakness to my knees, "I really appreciate you doing this, and I am so hungry!" as she tighten her grip around me. I served dinner, we had wine, and we laughed at each other and I thanked her for a good time, got back in my car and drove back to Dallas just in time for my morning shift and never saw her again.
