74th Republic Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a multicoloured Rajasthani turban on the occasion of India's 74th Republic Day to represent the nation's diversity.On the 74th Republic Day on Thursday, India witnessed a remarkable display of discipline and tenacity as armed forces contingents and other personnel marched on the Kartavya Path, the renovated ceremonial boulevard from the British era formerly known as the Rajpath. At Kartavya Path, President Droupadi Murmu raised the national flag. The national anthem and 21-gun salute were then played.The first group was led by Captain Raizada Shaurya Bali of the 61 Cavalry unit. The 61 Cavalry is the only horse cavalry regiment in active service in the entire world after the merger of all "State Horse Units."
