The Conundrum That Is “Show Don’t Tell”
“Show don’t tell.” It can be the bane of fiction writers everywhere. It doesn’t matter if you are new to writing fiction or a seasoned veteran, it is one of those writing rules we all try to follow without compromising our creativity and writing style. But are there instances in your story when it is better to “tell” than “show?” The answer is yes, however, it’s not that cut and dry.

Letter of Intent (that was never sent) by: the ADHD Accountant - Krid A take to provide some material for my partner, and to remind her how I see her. Obviously this does not meet her school's format and requirements. Of which, in my opinion, are neither sufficiently clear nor informed by an adequate example. Post graduate work shouldn't be guesswork as to what format you are looking for. So, I just wrote some stuff off the cuff (and from the heart) to cheer her up. If some of this meagre prose is useful then great.

Random Thoughts Today
Throughout the day, we spend our time meeting lots of people in the foodservice business. We have some rude customers as well. Maybe it is time for people to start voicing their opinions about what is going on in the world today. There is so much hate in the world that people don't know how to be kind anymore. It is sometimes nice to see how many good people there are in the world. However, people that are always angry probably didn't have a good life. It is crazy to spend your whole day grumpy and act like a fool in public. Being in the food business means you have to kill them with kindness; and not let your emotions show. Sometimes people have a hard time dealing with the world because no one has taught them to deal with it because they do not know how to stand up for themselves.
