Tips to Get Canadian Tourist Visa Successfully
Canadian Tourist Visa Tips
Canada is the world’s second-largest country (by area) and packs huge serene landscapes and opportunities for people around the world. It’s one of the prime destinations for students, tourists and immigrants from around the world.
As the country is huge and full of picturesque locations, it has much more than ‘something’ for almost everybody. Whether you are looking for lakes, huge mountains, national parks, historic monuments, or anything else – Canada has it all!
If you are amongst the ones who wish to visit Canada as a tourist, you must be granted a visa first. To gain a tourist visa to Canada successfully, you must fulfil all the conditions that are required by the relevant authorities.
Reasons Your Visa Could be Denied
First of all, let’s discuss the reasons your visa could be denied.
1. Submitting Just the Required Documents
Just submitting the documents listed by the IRCC may not be enough to convince the visa officer that you will return back to your home country. You’ll need to provide additional evidence to prove your strong connection to your home country and the reason you’d return. Connections to property and employment are a great starting point. Your agent should be able to help you with additional documents.
2. Unconvincing Letter of Invitation
Another reason your visa could be denied is a casual letter of invitation. If you are visiting a friend or a family member in Canada, they must provide a detailed letter mentioning they’d take care of your food and accommodation while your stay in Canada. It should be noted that the letter must include your name, date of birth and exact travel dates (if possible). Of course, it must be signed by the person writing the letter.
Increasing Your Chances of Successful Canadian Tourist Visa
Now that you know what to avoid, here are some tips and tricks that will help you increase your chances of a successful tourist visa to Canada.
1. Clarify Your Purpose of Visiting
You must be clear about your intentions and the length of your visit should match the purpose of your trip. Do not hide any information or fake your purpose. Do not indicate that you are going on a business trip if you wish to visit a family member. Similarly, if you want to visit a friend, do not list them as a family member. Presenting any false information will lead to denial of your visa application.
2. Connections to Home Country
You’ll need to prove strong connections to your home country all the time. You’ll need to show the importance of your life and things in your home country and prove that you’ll leave Canada once the purpose of your visit is fulfilled.
3. Clean Civil History
Having a clean civil history along with financial records along with job history helps your application a great deal. At any time, you should not hide any health risks that you may be posing. You must take health and travel insurance, if required.
4. Great Financial Health
Of course, to make your application stronger and more convincing, you’ll need to show that your financial health is strong. You’ll need to prove that you have enough money to return to your home country. Bank statements will prove to be adequate. Try to avoid showing any recent deposits. A consistent and stable income statement will work wonders!
5. Travel History
If you have a significant travel history of going to different places, you surely have a strong chance and reason of getting a tourist visa to Canada. Do not hesitate to your travel record, if available.
Though these tips are not common, they vary from profile to profile. If you fulfil all the above criteria, you are surely on your way to visit Canada as a tourist!
