Cheers & Farewell to: OMG I'm Not Young Anymore, My Life Is Over!
I usually tend to write about subjects I read about, while doing my daily routine but funnily enough, this particular one showed up during meditation. Maybe somebody out there is in need of these words right now.. who knows.

Get What You Want
As a living being we always want to improve ourselves. Society, famous people, even our mind creates wishes and goals to lead us to "happiness." I say "happiness" because sometimes what we want is not really good for us. Even though, I believe that every change and every achievement is an improvement, sometimes in our life and sometimes in our perception, showing us what is the right path to follow. With that being said here are some activities that I see in common with most successful people and that, of course, I use in personal life.

Rat Race
Pre K - 5th Grade This is when the love for learning begins. Do you remember getting so excited, that you couldn't contain yourself, to go see all of your friends at school? Do you remember arguing over who's toy was who's? Or who could be the first one done with "Minute Math" and take home the good news to Mom and Dad? Those were the best years. Mom and Dad would pick you up after school and bring you home to an after school snack, then off to go play outside with friends. It is pouring rain outside, but you don't care. It's time to play "Cops N Robbers". Then, in what seems like 5 minutes, Mom is already calling you in for dinner. You sadly say "Bye" to your friends, give them hugs and are off on your way. Walking in the front door, soaking wet, Mom nags to go get dry clothes on before you get sick. You run upstairs and change, then sprint downstairs to sit down for a good meal. Mom and Dad made homemade chili with corn bread (the best!). Everyone sits down at the table together to eat and discuss the day. Mom asks you how school was and you burst out in excitement that you are the Champion of Minute Math. Mom and Dad are so proud of you. "You are a genius, kiddo. You are going to be a scientist when you grow up! Or a doctor! Or an astronaut!"

The Worst 4 Years of My Life
In movies, high school is depicted as a place where time in between classes is infinite at lockers, cliques are a definite, there's always a lot of people, and most of the time, teachers are supportive. These movies always demonstrate a sense that high school is your whole life, and the things you do in high school dictate who, and what, you'll be in the future.

Opportunity Is Knocking
As we go through life, we tend to look at our problems instead of the opportunities that we are given. We, as humans, for some reason, hold on tighter to bad things in life instead of embracing the good. It is so quick for us to see the bad rather than the good in every situation.

Thoughts on Purpose
I like to preface all of my articles with a brief statement: these thoughts are mine, crafted from my own personal experiences. They may not work for you, but I like sharing them in case they could offer a perspective you might not have previously considered. It may make sense for me and where I am in life today, and tomorrow it may change. We’re all here just trying to figure it all out from the experiences we’ve been given anyway.

The Power of Positivity
I’ve always been the type of person to see the bright side of things. As a child I grew up in a home where I basically had to raise myself. This taught me a lot about life. One of the most important things that I’ve learned is that; No matter how bad the situation may seem, it can always get worse. As cliche as it sounds, this mentality saved me a lot of trouble. I’ve learned that the time we spend complaining and worrying about what could happen next, could be better spent on things that actually matter and are happening now. I’ve observed people from all walks of life put so much energy into things that can’t be prevented. Things that can’t be changed.

Ok to Not Be Ok, Please Do Not Forget That
Today was a day off. Walking the kids to school gave me chance to sit in my own head and that is not always a good thing. Readers of my previous articles will know what happened a few weeks ago now and today was a bit of a hit.

Why You’re Stuck
Now let me specify here who I’m talking about. To some degree, everybody gets a bit lost in their life and hopefully manages to find their way back. But here, here I am talking about the late teens/twenty somethings working part-time, no quite sure what they want to do with their lives and floating about from one job to the next getting enough money that month to pay a bill, rent to the parents, and a bit of spare money for drinking and having fun.
