Stop Being Perfect
Over the years I wish someone told me what I'm about to tell you. I started businesses, and they failed. I started jobs, and I failed. I tried to start a content career online, and guess what? I failed. If I had this advice below back then, you wouldn't be seeing this post. Here's what I learned.

Why Purpose Is Everything
Dear Henry, I remember a few nights ago when I asked you what you thought the meaning of life was and you responded with, “Does there have to be a meaning?” It got me thinking and it inspired me to write this to you. In philosophy, we were supposed to learn about the topic of “The meaning of life,” but ran out of time. I wish that we did have time to learn about this unit, I find this topic interesting because just like a lot of people, I don’t know what the meaning of life is, but I do have a few ideas.

Buy the Fucking Shoes
We’re living in a country where our government believes that fighting war with war will stop people from going to war, a government that thinks educating our nation's children with the knowledge of BIDMAS is more important than educating them with the knowledge of how tax and wages work, and how to go about budgeting your money so that when it comes to renting or buying a property you don’t end up in a shit storm of debt; a government that’s more interested in piling tax on to products containing sugar or cigarettes than fixing our pothole filled roads.

You Were Not Created to Fail
You were NOT created to FAIL. I recently had a life changing experience. I had lateral ligament ankle surgery. I suffered so many ankle sprains I had stretched my ligaments beyond repair. I have been spraining my ankle once every other year since I was 12-years-old. I am an active person. I am a runner, a hiker, a dancer...it really took a toll on me and it was incredibly tough to make the decision to go through with surgery. Also, because I was afraid of losing my job. A job I didn't like but paid me a decent salary.

Embers
There was a stillness to the day; a calm that contrasted to the busy city flow of traffic and people bustling for warmth and comfort. Ice crystals winked in the air just in front of her nose and pierced her cheeks like tiny winter daggers, gleeful in their winter cold. Looking up at the sky and its depth of untainted blue she found herself gazing breathless and in that second loosing her concentration she felt her feet slipping on unforgiving ice. Earnestly adjusting her balance on unsteady feet, her equilibrium soon regained. Her mind converged with her body.

10 Methods to Improve Self-Discipline
Self-disciple is something that everyone has struggled with. Whether this is in the form of struggling to lose weight, studying for a test, or just getting out of the house, we have all been there. However, failure is all part of the process, and finding the best ways to discipline yourself is a journey in itself.

Priorities Change
In the womb, we have no priorities. We swim in a warm, safe lagoon, and dream endlessly. There are no choices to be made, no fears and no worries. We are calm, sometimes active, but mostly still beings. We are as complex as the universe, yet have no real purpose, no priorities. But the moment we enter the world, everything changes.

Sickness
Fear is only two of many different ways we perceive it to be. True fear which you acknowledge as danger causes you to freeze, hide, or flee. Then there's irrational fear which is a phobia, but fear could also be a sickness for the people who think very differently than the "normal" way of thinking. Fear can cause damage to a person's brain and impair the memories, so their way of thinking is distorted.

On Resiliency
We seem to have reached a point in time where our lives are more stressful than ever. Each day the responsibilities on our shoulders seemingly increase, our thirst to achieve our dreams and goals grow stronger, and the emotional and mental stress laid upon us by our jobs, degrees, or relationships often take a physical toll. How can we expect to keep going in times like this? How do we overcome the overwhelming urge to simply pull the covers over our heads and ignore the call to rise another day and function, when we feel dismally hopeless? Resiliency is the name of the game.

Finding Who I Am
Current Date & Time: 03/06/2018 6:46PM It's been a long time since I've questioned myself. My morals, my values, who I want to be, what I want to be, etc. And now... I'm stuck at a standstill trying to figure all of this out while my work is piling up. I don't know who I am anymore. It's terrifying not knowing who you are. Looking in the mirror and not being able to recognize the face looking back at you. Realizing all of the messed up things you've done in the past and trying to convince yourself it was for the better, but knowing that you've hurt people and trying to forgive yourself, hoping they forgive you some day too. Realizing that when you were younger you were just so stupid and you haven't grown up much since then. To know you're still hurting people and you're still trying to find your way but not knowing how. I feel like a kid lost in a 1,000 aisle grocery store, not knowing what aisle their mom is in.
