goals
Understanding your goals to help you achieve them.
And so it begins
In the deep crevice of my mind, there is this nagging feeling that there is something I should be doing. Instead of grasping the red thread and following it down whatever whimsical path it might lead me down, I decide that it’s better to distract myself from these ideas that wonder through my head, like a horse and rider through a dark valley in those western moves that would come on the television when we were younger.

What have I become???
“Lindsay, please try to not forget the person I first met, the sweet, kind girl who loved god and was always happy.” Those words shot through me like a cannon and shook the very foundation of my soul. Had I really become that jaded? Had I let people drag me down to a point where I was no better than they were? My close friend and mentor said this to me and I knew there was some serious soul searching that needed to be done.

Just go
A long time ago, I set a goal for myself. At a certain period in my life in the future, I can achieve a state of "go and go" without worrying about all the annoying things in life or problems in work. You don’t have to worry about all the money and time you need during your trip. This kind of life is what you are looking forward to, but at this time, I suddenly discovered that the life I am looking forward to is not so much as "just leave and leave". "Say rest and rest", no longer need to analyze what is happening today when the alarm sounds, and no need to worry about how many things are not completed today when the alarm is about to go off. This should be a "salted fish" life. This kind of life seems to be somewhat similar to the simple and satisfying attitude towards life when retiring, but in fact, there is a huge difference between the two. After all, "go and go" is actually "do what you say", "Say not. "Just rest" is actually "play after talking". If the former is creating life, then the latter is being created by life.

Put Yourself Back Together
It’s currently 4am, and I’m just coming out of my nightly/early morning panic attack. I worry a lot, because I feel as though I’ve made a mess of things in my twenty-nine years. I find myself repeating the same thought process most nights, which usually includes over analyzing the mistakes as well as the progress I’ve made in life accompanied by my goals for the near future.

Broken from the Start
I’ve been through hardships and heartache all my life and I'm no stranger to trouble either. My first hardship is a constant physical war. When I was 24 hours old I had a stroke. The left side of my body was damaged, especially my left hand. Unfortunately, my second hardship happens to be in my family, my father. Growing up I saw him as my hero. I never saw the snake lurking in the grass. My father is an alcoholic, a drunk really. My whole childhood I was left in the dark. I knew my dad liked to drink but I didn't understand that it was a problem. I was blind to the way he treated my sisters. I thought I was his princess, but I ended up playing the role of the fool.

Monday
It is indeed a magnificent and marvelous Monday. The election is over and only God knows if there is any hope for the United States of America. I did not like either candidate. I don’t think I have liked a single candidate in over a decade. I am not even sure an old school cartel boss could help us at this point, although it would be very interesting. So, I will take on the Texas spirit of "In God we trust" and pray, a lot. Politics aside these bills don’t pay themselves. We are embarking on a fresh week, fresh goals, fresh opportunities and hopefully fresh underwear because that’s important. While you’re at it, put on some fresh socks. It is getting colder outside and no one wants to smell your feet.

Introducing The SAGECons Crisis Stabilization Task Force at Connie's House
There are many voices sharing their opinions about the covid relief bill that is currently stalled in Congress, but I don't hear much conversation about relief strategies that could be implemented on a grass roots level.

Clarify Your 2021 Goals With These Three Questions
It's coming up to that time of year again, the time when we all take a notion to write down our goals and resolutions, only to abandon them before February flies in. Whatever your goal—whether it's to meditate more, get fit, or even find your soul mate—it's easy to write down what you want to achieve, and even easier to forget all about it two weeks into January. Each year we declare "this time it'll be different"! Each year it's the same. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Pop Goes the Tooth
Hell. What’s this world coming to when a person can’t even enjoy a couple of cups of low-cal popcorn while watching TV? Where is the justice in that, tell me, please. After writing for hours and working out and doing chores, is it a crime to binge on an alleged “healthy” snack while binging on Netflix? For this writer, apparently so.

Tricep Dips: Oh, the Horror!
There have been many times in my life where common sense has completely eluded me. Like continuing to write and take it up the butt on this platform. Some of these situations, I’ve given voice to. Others, I prefer to let hunker down in the old memory hole. After all, you guys don’t want to know every dirty detail of every dirty deed, do you?

What does it mean to fail?
What does it mean to fail? Does it mean that you’re wrong? Ignorant? A loser? Not smart? Too lazy? Not enough money? Strength? There are many definitions of what failure is but it varies for every person. Even if we know what it means to fail the important question to ask is why? Why am I not where I want to be? Why am I stuck in this cycle of being unsuccessful? What am I doing that is preventing me from being who I want to become? What is the ACTUAL reason for me being unsuccessful?
