The Most Chaotic Year of My Life Helped Me Become 'Me' Again
2018—I literally started my year with a 48 hour stomach bug. Looking back on the year I had, I find symbolism in my 48 hours of vomiting (not to be crude, just telling it how it is). My year was an emotional hell, with what seemed to be one problem after another, losing people from my life I did not imagine ever losing and even losing a part of myself I had become so comfortable with. Much like throwing up does for your body, 2018 violently projected all toxic and bad things out of my life.

Happy Illusion
Are you happy? Tell me. Think. Are you feeling alive, cheerful, joyous, poised and the very many adjectives that describe the beautiful mood you’re in? You’re not? Why? For how long have you not been happy? Is it something bad? Did something happen? Do you care?

Become Wiser & Happier
"What are your resolutions for 2019?" Why do we have the urge to make new resolutions each time a new year is about to begin? Very often it is a pursuit to man's greatest desire: happiness. Making sure 2019 turns out to be a happier year than this one.

Wishing for Multiple Lives in One Life
I feel as if I have always, and by that I mean for as long as I can remember, wanted to be someone different. I wanted to be a talented singer, or an artist, or a really, really kickass dancer. I have wanted to be beautiful, or wake up with flat abs. I have wanted to wake up to clear, beautiful skin, to wake up in a whole different country. I have a beautiful life, extremely loving parents, wonderful friends, and my days are filled with memories that I wish I could stick onto scrapbook pages for posterity's sake. And even still, sometimes I feel trapped. I always seem to want to be in a place different from where I am.

Moving Along the Old Dusty Road
A lot of people never tell you that it's okay to take risks. In fact, a lot of people can agree with me that most of their life, they've been told to play it safe. Even the risk takers now-a-days say that they are always on the edge, but in reality, they play it safe, just like the rest of us.

Hi, I'm Weird, Nice to Meet You
For the past several years, I've been making jewelry. I started out with recycling things, but it didn't look like fashionable jewelry. Then it turned into beads, which was much more fashionable but it was cliche and boring. Then it turned into an expression of my art through jewelry, by using clay, resin, and real bugs. The recycling things and expressing myself awakened what I loved as a child. Crafting! I used to make miniature chairs out of paper, and make wall Christmas trees for the kids so we could gift each other our toys that we already had. It made me so excited. The person I thought I had lost, she was back! The more research I did on people making their own jewelry, I began to find unique things. I found that you could put almost anything in resin. My favorite thing became putting dragonflies, bumblebees, lady bugs, butterflies, and any other beautiful insect I could put into resin, to make jewelry out of it. A lot of work goes into to them, and I was thinking this is so freaking awesome! But the more I went to my venues and the more crafty things I was making, I began to get "Oh, this is very unique" "This is very different" "It's kind of weird". Like they were trying to be nice but they were like no sweety this is not were it is at.

Why You Should Not Worry
Dear reader, if you are reading this, it is possible that you have something to worry about. It could be your future career, it could be that you're late to work every day, it could be that you know you are going to be laid off, it could be anything really. As a third child, I have learned a valuable lesson, which I believe my older siblings have missed out on. I have learned that everything will work out in the end and to not worry about things going the wrong way.

Make Yourself Happy!
I keep telling myself that life gets better and everything happens for a reason, but most days I'm not so sure that is true. I have been through a lot throughout my childhood and I do believe those tragic moments in my life made me who I am today. Sometimes that is enough for me to be happy but how do you really make yourself happy?

How I Moved Out of My Hometown
I've had a goal to move out of my hometown since I was around 16... I'm 22 now, boo. When you come from a very small town (2,000 people type small) with only one traffic light, two gas stations, have about 65 kids for an average class, and you are forced to drive 30 minutes just to get to a Walmart... yeah, you dream of leaving.

The War on Words
Human beings are funny creatures. It's said that most of our communication doesn't even happen through words, but body language. How does that apply when speaking to yourself though? What's the "body language" of your inner voice? Let's dive in, shall we?

Living a Comfortable Lifestyle or Just Making Ends Meet
I often ask myself the same question over and over again. How much money do I need to make to live comfortably? It’s a different answer for everyone, but why does it really have to be a different answer? Don’t we all have the same wants and needs as everyone else? Apparently not. Depending on how you grew up you’ll become accustomed to live a certain way. Some people do make enough to live comfortably but continue to live beyond their means. Whereas, there are others that make more than they ever need and continue to horde away their money.
