success
The road to success is always under construction; share your equations for success — and learn some new ones.
Endurance Mindset
Consistency with your physical training is a critical component. However, often overlooked is the preparation of your mindset - Our minds so often disrupt the physical side of things, adequately failing to optimise the use of our athletic ability, talent and hard work. All of us know that endurance athletes perform best with a relaxed, focused and calm state of mind. Leading to an optimal physiological state. All of us can develop our skills to become more complete ultra-runners. A good race is never a fluke, and every runner should believe wholeheartedly in the power of magical thinking. So much so, that the depth of your thinking, self-motivation and the vision matters greatly. that success is achievable no matter what.

DREAM BIG
Success is something everyone wants and money is something everyone needs, but THE HUSTLE is something most try to desperately avoid. Most people strive to do the bear minimum possible while yet expecting hustle results. 2020 came in on us strong unlike any other year and has challenged us all to gain as much MOMENTUM as possible or failure will be inevitable.

Scintillating Scents Candle Co.
Hey guys, I’m pretty new here but I hope this inspires someone to start there own company. My name is Alexis, I’m 23, and I own Scintillating Scents Candle Co. As most of you are going through the same thing as me, then I know this situation has brought some hard times your way. In simple terms, this time is the very reason I started my company, but it’s not that simple. Let’s start at the beginning! When I was 21, I started working two jobs to try and help me get to where I wanted to be. I worked both days and nights every day, and that took a toll on me, both mentally and emotionally. I had moments when I would pray and cry because it felt like I was doing everything right, and it wasn’t paying off, but I continued. I worked two jobs for three years. I would look around, and it seemed that everyone I knew was getting everything they wanted, and here I am, struggling. I don’t want to make my first story too long, so let’s fast forward! So here we are in 2020, and I just knew this year is going to be great- think again, right? At this point, I was tired of working altogether, but I had to; it’s not like I had another source of income if I left both jobs. As I said, it was taking a toll on me mentally and emotionally but never spiritually because my faith is a lot stronger than anything else. One day out of nowhere, I said I was going to start my own company and guess what it was going to be perfume! Perfume lol! I thought, and said, I have to look into something I like, and I thought about candles. I did as much research as I could, and then I ordered a small kit and made three candles, and they came out great. I was excited; I could see how far my business was going to take off. I bought everything I needed to make them and started my Instagram and Facebook business pages. OMG!! I was so excited. I just started making more and trying to build my social media presence and all, and I was proud of myself. As much financial help, my company will be, it has also shown me new things about myself. So here I am 23 years old starting my own business and still learning. I hope by me starting my own company inspires others, especially little girls, to want to do the same. To show them that they can do anything they put their minds too and that nothing is too hard for them as long as they believe in themselves and go for it. I do wish that this was something I thought of or decided to do when I was a little younger, but I cant wait to see where and how far my business goes. So that is just a little about me, my company, and how it began. I cannot wait to tell you guys more about my journey, whether it is talking about something positive or not that is going on within my company. I look forward to using this as an outlet to express myself with whatever I may be going through in regards to being a business owner. Also, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you are more than welcome to contact me via scintillating_scents (Instagram), Scintillating Scents Candle Co. Juneteenth Lives
What a blessed time to be a black person in 2020. This statement doesn't discredit the beautiful nationalities that make us all unique around the world.. BUT black people do I love me some melanin? Hell to the yes! This is such a time to be celebrating our history and as Auntie Maxine Waters would say " reclaiming our time". Because it is our time, our time to get what is overdue to us. Equality, respect, justice, and reparations. Justice and equality for all is the American way right? At least it was suppose to be. It will be you know why? We highjacked it and made them listen. Either through riots or peaceful protesting the world is watching and listening. I often listen to Bob Dylan's song The Times They Are A Changing and from beginning to end each lyric is so moving and powerful now as the impact back then when the track was first released. When he says, 'The order is rapidly fadin', and the first one now will later be last, for the times they are a changing". I felt those lyrics in my soul. I'm sure you can feel it too. Right before our eyes we have witnessed history unfold on so many levels we can hardly keep up.

The journey of catching buses
The problem of trying to be successful is not that "it's about the journey"... Allow me to create this image in your head about trying to chase success. Imagine all your life trying to catch a bus, imagine, fully immerse yourself in the situation. it's a bus you're late to, and it's hard catching it anyways, when you head out catching it, in full sprint, a girl at the station tells you its ok, you don't have to run. there's another one in like 30 minutes, you suddenly realize you don't know the girl and you unconsciously know you cannot trust her. you make a run for it.

How To Be Successful
Growing up I was always told that inorder to successful in life you need to have money. Money is what makes the world go round and you can buy tons of things. You want a swimming pool well you need money for that. However in this day and age most of us will need a college degree.

IT’S THE CLIMB
I often find myself talking about very raw subjects. The reactions I get from others can be concerning, some have even interpreted my views as negative and said to me, “you shouldn't be so negative.” I found this merely insulting, “ me negative?” Sometimes we need to reflect on these things to truly understand ourselves and others.
