What I Gained by Rescuing a Barn Kitten
I have been a self-harmer and depressed for years and cats have been apart of my life since I was born. So saving a kitten who was likely to die in the winter because mama cat was feral was a no brainer. What I got from the barn litter, was a little calico, my sassy bundle of joy and fighter for keeping me safe. For years school and work were my only reasons for getting out of bed. When I lost those I saw no point other than the bathroom and self harming. Morrigan over the last two years has learned this.

Life With Shelby: Part 1
Since I was a child, there has always been a part of my heart dedicated to animals. Its a part that can't possibly be filled by anything else. Growing up, there were rarely any pet-free days. When there were, my parents were dealing with endless pleas for all types of critters. In my adult life I have only permanently acquired one animal: a cat called Connor. His entire body fit in my hands, as the spindly little runt of the litter. When I met him, I was visiting my uncle's farm prior to his funeral. Connor is the only thing I have from my uncle now, and the kitten was named for him as well. He has gone through many stages of life with me, and he has become my heart and soul. I am not a diehard cat person, but this one particular cat is a permanent part of me. I am also a practicing falconer, and keep hawks six months out of the year. The individual birds will not be permanent, but the entirety of my identity will always be defined by falconry and the birds will always have a role in my life. I currently have two extra cats; both came to me with identical sicknesses a year and a half apart. Minnie was the first, a little female that has failed to grow beyond 'kitten-collar' size. She has been with me for a long time and I love her truly; however, she still needs to find that one place where she belongs. The second is a male called Kirby. He has only been here for two months, and will likely be on his way before he reaches a third. Only a week or so prior to him, I had rehomed another kitten that I had plucked out of the highway's centerline, in the middle of heavy traffic.

Omar's Diary for the Weekend of October 28th & 29th 2017
I was aware of some kafuffle at the front door of Omar Towers just before seven on Friday evening. Being very reserved, some would say ‘snobby’, I withheld my curiosity about what was going on downstairs and stayed upstairs in my own room that I do let the servants share with me. Eventually I ventured downstairs and could hear some heavy breathing interspersed with comments from my own servants along the lines of ‘God that is hard’, ‘No, that hurts too much…..I’m going to have to stop there’. I hesitated at the door into the sitting room where these sounds and comments were emanating from rapidly forming images in my mind. Curiosity won the battle with procrastination and I boldly walked in. My servants were being visited by a personal trainer servant who was putting them through their, if I may say so, very limited paces.

Why Rabbits Make Fantastic Pets
First off, most people think rabbits are just outdoor pets, living in hutches and stroked maybe once or twice a day with playtime in runs when the weathers nice. This could not be further from the truth. Rabbits make fantastic pets, and they can live in the home and can be taught to use a litter box just like a kitten would be taught, although some bunny-proofing will need doing to avoid any much-loved items (or phone chargers) getting chewed to bits! They are intelligent and can grow to be very affectionate. They just need a little time to get to know their owner.

Tinky The Tiny Ferret
Hello there! I am here to tell you the many stories of Tinky's life. Tinky is approximately 1-year-old, and is a small ferret who has the energy of a thousand horses. She is my first ferret, and basically going into ownership with little to no experience in owning a ferret, I'm not entirely sure what I am to expect. Basically, this will be a log/story of the experiences gained by owning Tinky. So let's begin...

My Name Is Lucy!
Hello all! My name is Lucy Esmeralda McGillicuddy Ricardo McCormick. I know. My mom named me after one of her favorite TV characters. You know, one of those ones where it only aired in black and white? What do I know, I only see in black and white anyway. But anyhow, I am what you call a Shiba Inu, i.e. one of the most stubborn dogs known to wander on this earth. I am basically the Japanese version of a beagle. Mommy always has to keep me on a leash because if she lets me off the leash, I like to run and run until I've had enough. You see, I was bred to hunt so I absolutely LOVE the chase. But anywho, let me tell you more about myself!

Is Your Cat Drinking Enough Water?
We always hear how important it is for humans to be drinking enough water through the day. However, this is just as important for your pets. Cats can be especially tricky because they are often picky about the source of their water. It can also be hard to monitor their water intake as they often like to play with their water bowl or dump it over entirely. Follow these tips to help ensure that your cat is getting enough access to the kind of water that they like to drink.
