dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Heartbreak: Nothing Hurts More Than The Death of Your Dog
I have come to believe that losing a beloved family dog is one of the worst pains you will ever feel. That loyal companion, that faithful friend, that unconditional love. The dog that was once the permanent cuddle, that was always there for you, is one day gone. That leaves a hole in your heart, which takes a long time to heal. The grief and pain is deep.

Ivakkak 2019: Northern Sled-Dog Race Across Nunavik. Top Story - April 2019.
The event happened on March 10, 2019. It was on a very cold Sunday morning that the racers of the Ivakkak race were scheduled to arrive at the finish line in the village of Inukjuak where I am now living for most of the year. Luckily for me, I have the weekends off, so I was able to go see the racers make their final stop after two long and intense weeks of traveling through the harsh winter sceneries like tundra and blizzards.

Naku
NAKU A True Story *** Dear reader, simply know that I write these words with a heavy heart. My name is Celestin, and as I write this it's late February of 2019 and I am a 23-year-old cooking chef in a student residence for adult education in the northern Quebec village of Inukjuak. I came here for two weeks before the Christmas break of 2018 to get trained and see if the job was right for me, and it is, so I came back in January of 2019 to start work for good. I arrived about ten days later than scheduled because of an elbow injury that happened to me on Christmas Eve.

Anxious Pup (5 Tips for Separation Anxiety)

One thing that's been a learning curve is being able to deal with Jazz's separation anxiety. When I first saw him at the shelter he clung to me. He wouldn't leave my side.

Alone, Not Lonely
I spend most of my time alone. I am a student at California State University, Northridge, earning a degree in screenwriting and a minor in popular culture studies. Although I love college very much, I am still just as isolated with 40,000 fellow students around me as I am sitting in bed reading. There are moments when I find myself gazing at groups of college girls, walking together and laughing at something I’ll never know. I wonder what it would be like to sit on the patio with your friends on a Sunday night or to go out to eat whenever we wanted. They look so happy together, and I seem so boring in comparison.
