Searches for wildlife boom during lockdown
The UK is becoming more urbanised. The degree of urbanisation in the UK as of 2018 was at 83.8 per cent. This represented a three per cent rise since 2008. However, rural living certainly has its advantages. Some people may choose to live rurally to get away from the hustle and bustle of the urban lifestyle, while others like the idea of living off grid. For some, a love of the countryside and the wildlife that comes with it is a huge attraction. Rurally, you will find people using LPG suppliers and other more eco-friendly sources as their power supply.

Another Mouse Tale
You may have read my other story about a mouse. This one is true too. My husband and I were living in Philadelphia, in a row house in a part of Philadelphia called Fishtown. The row house was very old, built in the 1700’s. It also had mice. Mice, I reminded myself, that were descendants of colonial mice. My husband was recovering from back surgery so it was up to me to buy mousetraps or poison or whatever it takes to get rid of mice, so it didn’t get done. I don’t believe in killing things and if you read my other story you know I am responsible for the death of a mouse.

How To Have A Relationship With A Wild Animal
To have a relationship with a wild creature, first you have to have a relationship with yourself. You have to know who you are because these animals are not going to automatically trust anything. They’re out there living in the wild. These animals have to worry about survival and they have to worry about being eaten and eating and accomplishing the task of new babies to perpetuate the species.

The Real Queens of Wakanda IV: Carnivores Galore
In my last three articles that make up The Real Queens of Wakanda series, I have placed African American zoo and aquarium professionals in the spotlight by sharing their stories and ensuring that each of these women got to have a voice and share their stories. Yet, the series was not intended to just focus on African American female zoo professionals but all zoo and aquarium professionals of color. This includes Asian and Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, Asian Indians, people of Arab and Middle Eastern descent, and Hispanics.
