Why I consider photography a hobby, and not a viable career option for me
Please note, this is all my own personal opinion. Yours may differ, and that’s completely fine! I love photography. Having grown up primarily in front of my mother’s camera lens, it’s something I wanted to pick up from a young age. I loved the freedom and creativity which came with holding that D80 in my hands - I could capture anything as if through my own perspective.

Stock Photography Trends 2021-2022
I have been selling stock photographs for almost 15 years now. Trends come and go, but you can often gage what to upload depending on the time of year. For example, Christmas, Easter and Halloween. If you are a graphic designer, or product photographer then this is easy, setting up scenes or creating images from scratch and uploading them at the right time will hopefully rack up a few sales.

The Old Man Who Wanted Nude
In the summer of the year I turned twenty, I asked a friend of mine to model for me. We walked up to this public center that was composed of a mishmash of things. It was a campsite, fitness center, gymnasium all rolled into one. It was a lovely spot, although it wasn’t in the most convenient location. To reach it you had to either ride a bus for 20–30 minutes or walk through dense forest. It was popular with children and the elder generation.

Anxiety on Display
Dear Reader, it has been. A. Month. Wild, even. The magnolia tree in my front yard has been trying to bud new growth and the robins have been singing each morning as if it is spring. But it’s December. As a Star Wars fan, I’m stoked that Book of Boba Fett starts tomorrow. Oh, and now I’m relying on my side-gig to be my main gig… but that is another tale. This story is about how a photo exhibition forced me to come to grips with the title of Artist and whether or not I deserve it.
