A lemon garden. (Palestine)

____By Aranna Hasan Delwar.

I had a lemon garden, which my father made.

I grew up playing with the lemon trees in that garden, this lemon garden is the witness of my childhood and adolescence.

The trees are grown with great care.

Each lemon was delicious.

A lemon tree is like a child

After my father's death I shared my life with them.

Although we had to go through Israeli torture, it is still happening.

Still this lemon garden was my only means of survival.

But happiness does not last long for the Palestinians.

Israel's defense minister started building a house next to my garden.

My lemon garden is a threat to his safety.

Asking me to cut down my lemon garden on such absurd charges.

How to cut these trees?

Can a mother kill her child?

I can't either.

I file a court case against the Defense Minister of Israel.

My lemon garden has never been a threat to anyone, and never will be.

After many arguments, the court gave its verdict

Half of the lemon garden should be cut.

My chest breaks

My eyes are soaked in salty water.

Palestinians will never get justice in any court of the world while they are alive.

Never. I haven't either.

Then my live plants were cut down.

I look at the empty field of lemon trees.

My lemon trees like the Palestinian children

Killed brutally.

Everything has an end, Israel will also come to an end.
