Autumn’s Dance Interrupted
Where Seasons Collide

The leaves turned gold beneath the sky,
A swirling dance of red and rye,
Crisp whispers in the autumn air,
Each tree a flame, each branch laid bare.
The world in hues of ochre spun,
As autumn’s reign had just begun,
A quiet, soft, contented peace,
Where time slowed down, as if to cease.
But then the clouds, in swift deceit,
Rolled in with winter’s chilling beat.
The golden leaves now lost their sway,
As snowflakes claimed the fleeting day.
A sudden hush, the earth now white,
Autumn bowed beneath the light.
Her painted world now tucked below
A blanket soft of early snow.
And in the quiet, seasons blend—
The end of fall, where winter bends.
Yet in the frost, the leaves still gleam,
Caught in the spell of autumn’s dream.
