Blue trouble

____By Aranna Hasan Delwar.

""""""""""""""""""

On the banks of a dry river

There is a half-dead banyan tree,

Feathers of birds falling under trees

The cry of a featherless bird perched on a branch,

Not being able to be colored for lack of green

howl of a forest,

Painful everywhere.

Come put me in a world

You will see-

A stream of water in a dry river

in my tears,

The smug smile of the featherless bird

Seeing my naked heart,

The colorless forest will be colored

Will get back green

at the sound of my cry,

Spring will rush to the painful world

In the blood of my chest

In the blue of my pain...

Then you will understand -

That painful world was happier than me.
