Ricocheting off the calendar
Overbooked and underpaid
Lunch hour, worked beyond
Luster dulled for corporate cake

Tasks left incomplete
Halfway home, carpooled with stress
Attention’s still at work
Think green pasture, step from ledge

Blue dreams emerging
Light twinkles through jade clouds
Underwhelmed by life problems
Nerves settled with herbs ground
Time be elusive, aunt Mary makes her rounds
