Deep Calls To Deep
Poetic Psalms

True love isn’t love unless given with choice
God baptized us all in free will
This is our blessing, let privilege rejoice
Then glorify Him and be still
We are what He fashioned, a piece of His soul
Our spirits are part of His own
But Satan’s a thief and God wants what he stole
Redemption begins at His throne
We’re passing through God as we’re walking about
He’s everywhere we’ll ever go
The only place ever that God is cast out
Is the heart of the soul saying, “No”
When David was burdened with conflict and strife
He wrote psalms time intended to keep
As waves of God’s breakers washed over his life
The psalmist wrote, “Deep calls to deep”
If grace begat mercy, forgiveness bore love
For having placed God “on a shelf”
When we who are justified, gather above
We are reconciled back to Himself
