Know When To Fold ‘Em
By Earl W. PearlPublished 10 months ago • Updated 10 months ago • 1 min read

When a loner who was happy in his bubble
Started drinking with a woman who was trouble
They decided to get married, seeing double
Their marriage sadly built upon a heap of rubble
What had started with a double shot of whiskey
Got ‘em contemplating doing something risky
So this woman who was very much a mystery
Was another poor decision in his history

It feels like a quiet, reflective farewell—not just to the night, but to something more. Beautifully melancholic and masterfully written!
