Fire Horse Spirit
Acrostic poem for Mikeydred's February Dollar Prompt

Forward-moving momentum; fire belly appeal
Independence, optimism, freedom
Ride or die mentality, dying to ride
Equine eccentrics; bareback, no gear- without tact
Hold your horses a moment, will ya
Origami is inspirational, too; let's look beyond the paper dream
Rebel without a cause, No, pause this ideology
Saddle up for safety, a much wiser travel proposal
Electric hooves; thunder on the trailways
Surround sound: clip-clop, clip-clop, clip-clop
Poised for promise, yet "Patience" lingers from a crawling away snake
Instinctively, walk, trot, canter, gallop, horse feels the terrain
Revved up, the handler sighs, mumbling, "This feels so last year"
Idiocrosy, as it always does, comes with reflection; mindfulness warns
Trample the snake, make not this mistake; inadvertantly or otherwise
...
Author's note: My acrostic Fire Horse Spirit poem speaks of the energy for Chinese New Year 2026. After the slower 2025 pace of the Wood Snake, full speed ahead feels most appealing. The challenge for the year ahead lies in balance, combined with the lingering lesson of patience.
Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!
My Acrostic is an entry in Mikeydred's February Dollar Prompt.

Oh wow, your Acrostic was so smooth! Loved it!
What a clever acrostic. I had a chuckle at 'Hold your horses a moment, will ya' :-)
Good luck with Mr. Mike's challenge and Happy Chinese New Year to you too. Good job, but don't rush too head long into anything.
Itβs all about balance, mβdear. A most splendid entry into Ser Mikey Dreddβs royal competition. May the Gods be with you - Alicent. ππππ
First, thank you for not underlining the acrostic letters(drives me crazy when people do that). And what a wonderful fire horse poem. This fire horse truly emerges through a ring of fire with the new moon 96% solar eclipse this morning!
Great take on the challenge, and thank you for joining in. Love this.
