Girls shouldn't be broken people.

Shouldn't spend hours,

staring at a

mirror that is sadly opaque.

Shouldn't try to bandage the hurt,

gloss over the pain and pretend the

wound is healing.

Shouldn't have glazed eyes

staring into another world that

seems clearly simple, a paradise, a

freedom out of this hell.

Shouldn't have to realize the pain of regret,

or the taste of death,

or the strangling grip of the grim reaper,

because life is unlivable.

Girls shouldn't have to be broken people

covered in veils of shame and garments

of pain.

Cursing the very beauty, that should've

been gain.
