Oh baby boy

I’ll tell you how

Mom and Dad

First met

On a cold eve

At the bar

A bash for a pal

I may not have gone out at all

But -

This was NYC

The city that begs

Don’t sleep

Free gin

Some fun

It was on my way home

So-

We meet via the host

She says he is from Cali

I have not been, I say

But -

When I met his gaze

My soul knew him

And

That was it for me

Then we made you

And now

Our love will live

When we are gone

Wait what?

No!

We did not have sex

Who told you that?

Now go to BED!

I really enjoyed this. It just felt so real and made me think about those small moments that make it all worth it. I am still smiling at the ending.
