It's always darkest before the dawn

...the darkest moment

A poem I wrote at one of the darkest times. There was no hope to be found. So, I wrote. And I waited to see the sun.

Moon in Aquarius

It’s always darkest before the dawn

Portrait of me

Pictures of you

Mirror reflection

Walk in my shoes

No smile, no tears

No worries, no fears

A tear and a frown

A glorious crown

What’s real and what’s fake?

What’s really at stake?

You must hear me now

I will not bow

I seek and I pray

A new path, a way

Solace and peace

To say the least

Night full of stars

Sleeping in cars

The wind and the streams

Wishes and dreams

The pain of the past

Release me at last

I forge a new way

To live a new day

All that was lost

Time to let go

All that they took

They can’t take my soul

Heart full of love
