It's Summer, Put Your Arms Down
A Public Announcement Poem

Summer Sun rises, and warm becomes hot
People out and about, a few becomes a lot.
Stifling buses, someone sleeveless reaches high
Everyone in olfactory range glares or lets out a sigh
Sweat is rife in summer, bacteria makes it smell
The Sea does not wash it away, while you ride a swell.
Like sand inside your socks, the smell clings and grows
Raise up your arms and everybody clutches their nose.
Deoderant exists, everyone please use it well
Do not sentence the world to olfactory hell
Put your arms down, and we’ll all get along
Once is a mistake, more than that is just wrong.
