please keep the streets empty for me

for when I drive down

I want to see the ghosts of our past

lingering there so they don't see

what is to come of us

you and me

stop the music

in the name of not hearing your voice

I can not bare the thoughts of you

my head is full of the words you said

music can not make that go away

scratching at the places you knew

my body is an ode to you

while I wish it clean of your touch

you're a part of me

There is more to the world than you

I can see that now

in the words and sounds, I thought I couldn't

bare without you

I am fine without you

I wish I knew that all

so much sooner than now

love poemssad poetry

I can relate to this, especially in my teens and early twenties

Well written! I love it. If you want, I have plenty of poems on my profil. It would be a please for me if you read one or two of them. I wish you a great day.
