A lion kills to feed its pride
To save them from the brink
It has no conscience deep inside
Of what the sheep may think
A hairy spider sets a snare
To feed another day
It kills and eats without a care
See, nature works that way
A toddler isn’t taught to steal
Yet plans to sneak some pie
Not only does it seal the deal
Who taught the child to lie
It’s true in every person born
Our nature is to sin
But it’s the bless-ed, rendered torn
Who overcome, and win
My sinful ways have been removed
It only took a Lamb
Whose sacrifice stamps me, “Approved”
And changed the way I am
