I thought maybe it had been sung
Wasn't sure what was to come
But at least it would be fun
Could be outside enjoying the sun
It could be a pun
Might be enjoying a rum
Or going for a run
I knew I wasn't dumb
Sitting around twiddling my thumbs
Felt a bit numb
But I knew it would soon come
As it was on the tip of my tongue

Belle of the Bayou
Bad move, cher. Not just the slip of her kitten heel on the rainy February cobblestones in the Fourth Ward. She got caught snooping. Detective Deleon clucked and strutted like a rooster in his rush to clear her from the scene, waving cigar smoke to and fro as he gesticulated amid the thick air of the speak easy.
