Not with the throngs that fill the crowded street, Their faces blurred, their hurried steps complete, But with the hush of twilight, soft and dim,

The sun descends, a fiery kiss, Goodnight it bids, the world to dismiss. A cloak of twilight, soft and deep, Embraces all, while shadows creep.
The sky weeps grey, a drumming beat, On rooftops high, on paven street. But in my heart, a joyous tune, For rain and I, we sing in June.
In shadowed corners, where moonlight fears to tread, A silent ballet, a scuttling dread. Cockroaches gather, a writhing mass,
On silken strands, a whisper falls, A crimson leaf, a memory calls. From branches high, where autumn reigns, It drifts and settles, tinged with stains.
In clusters green, a verdant crown, Bananas hang, all weighed down. On sturdy stalks, they sway and preen, A tropical and sunlit scene.
The city stirs, a symphony of horns, But here, within these walls, a different dawn. Sunlight streaks across your sleeping face,
A fleeting glance at the fading sky, The golden ember, the sun sets slowly towards the west The birds of the air took pace towards their place of rest

The world was painted hues of gold, Your laughter filled the air I hold. But now the colors, dull and wan, Reflect a love that's lost and gone.
Standing behind the wall, forbidden to look tall, To be the dainty taste for a man’s unsatiated hunger, The tale of a woman’s right to emancipation has seen it all.
