heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
Did You Hear It?
Did you hear it? The sound of shattering tears falling onto the vacant sheets. The screaming whisper of the voices bouncing around her mind. Did you hear it? The battle inside as she begs for just a moment of peace. Did you hear it? Her pain. Her anguish as you chose, not her, but another. Did you hear it? Her quiet pleading eyes, her soft sob, her deafening disappointment.

Games
Lie. Act. Deceive. It’s what you’re best at. The talent everyone knows you knows for. You’re the best player in the game. But please know, while you’re playing basketball with her heart, making her jump from emotion to emotion, she’s playing monopoly. Oh yes, she’s playing you too. She’s picking and choosing what you see and making you believe you’re the best of the best.

The Devil in White
Although I wasn’t sure. Your intentions seemed so pure. I was hurt so many times. You seemed like the perfect cure. You sent my heart on an escalator, then pushed it down over the side. You wouldn’t have ever done that, till the ill white caught your eye.
