social commentary
There's a rich history of poetry serving as social commentary, intended to inspire calls to action.
Colors
Yellow is the color of my childhood. Sunny, filled with light. It reminds me of the times I spent on the swing set, laughing with my friends. Yellow is the color of nostalgia, providing you with small, inner warmth and comfort, as if it gently hugs your body. It is a reminder of happier, much simpler times. Yellow is the color of my old teddy bear, a gentle keepsake of innocence and a younger, more delicate me.

War Dance
We are all dancing within the lifeless wind of life. Standing hoping to be guided by a false light. Some take that and call it a night while others ponder around waiting for a fight, but that’s no brawl to engage in. Life will take you out before you even get to swinging. So dodge that inevitable war of life, before you get too lost in the fight. Hopefully once you’ve realized its not right, you can begin to finally call it a night.
