Villanelle
A Forest Shower
Introduction This is a villanelle example for the forthcoming "Showers And Fools" Challenge that has been inspired by the image above. I really liked it, but it wasn't right for the story I was writing. To me, it cries out for a story of the joy of experiencing showers and rain in a beautiful forest.

There is beauty in the world we see, the sky gleams through the radiance of the evening hues of the sunset. The train halts at the destination that glistens with the hustle and bustle of different travellers who are on a quest, some to find peace, joy, and excitement and others to find a purpose.

Squid Game was written by film director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, whose ideas for the show were inspired by Ssangyong Motor Company’s mass layoffs in 2009, that resulted in violent strikes and clashes with police. The protests were, “among the most fierce workers’ struggles South Korea has witnessed in almost two decades.” source.
