I'd like to invite you for tea,
You're bound to have good company.
I will be there
And the lively March hare
In a wonderland wacky and twee.
*
You'll know me, I'm thoroughly mad,
But I don't have a bone which is bad.
I'm simply a hatter
Who loves a good natter
Which you may or may not understand.
*
So please say you'll join me for tea?
It will be ex-tra-or-din-ar-y!
Full of bizarre surprises
Which will widen your ey-ses
As you pour out a nice cup of - mouse?

Such fun with the characters and rhyme! This is delightful!
I loved this! Fantastic. A cup of mouse? 😂 It hard to pick a line here so I will pick them all. Great poem, Rachel! And picking a great picture as always. Those which I never find. Lol
Very clever, Rachel, I like it!
Oooks!😳😵💫… cup of mouse!!!!🤢 Thanks for starring me in your poem: “ You'll know me, I'm thoroughly mad, But I don't have a bone which is bad. I'm simply a hatter Who loves a good natter Which you may or may not understand.”🤣
Well-wrought, Rachel! This is so perfectyl in the spirit of Lewis Carroll in its delivery, and encapsulates so much of what I enjoyed about reading his work as a young boy. I still reread "Alice" occasionally, as I have a copy illustrated by Ralph Steadman, and though I haven't time to keep up with all these challenge entries, I've enjoyed the ones I caught, especially yours and Ellie's!
Do I take it said mouse is a rather tall & handsome cup o' tea?
ah this is so wonderful and whimsical =] Love it.
