Dear Groundhogs...
Note: some of you do not celebrate Groundhog Day (every February 2nd). You might be familiar with Candlemas Day (European inspiration for the event). If the groundhog in question sees its shadow on a sunny day, six more weeks of winter; if not, an early spring. And our rodents - starting with Willy and Pete (there are others) - have different prognostications above and below our borders. Nice.

The Devil's Triangle
The sails ruffled in the breeze as we cruised along. The Sea Breeze was a mid-size catamaran that sailed out of Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. We had booked this trip weeks in advance and were now looking at our Captain, Spike and two boat hands. Paddy and Wilson seemed like nice guys, joking around with the passengers and telling us some stories about Bermuda that only locals would know. Their island accents sounded almost British but they were pleasant to listen to.

I was resting my brain. Sorry...what? I shudder at all of the carryings caused by ignorance by one single solitary lost and misguided soul. Great word choices.
The FBI, CIA and Secret Service want me to join them. I said, HELL NO..
I protested when Rodney King was beaten by the police. The gangs decided to let Los Angeles burn and only after he said: "We all can get along. We all can get along. We all can get along. " did the fires end.
Power to being a teacher. I grew up in the ghettos of Los Angeles and wondered why the hell anyone would teach in Hell. Yet my teachers loved me and became my family, the only ones who cared. I miss them.
