Now we’ve both spilled onto the floorboards.

Ashes, ashes, we all fall down.

Your urn broke just like I did.

At least I picked you up.

Never a clean break,

mess of debris.

I dropped you.

You wrecked

me.

Complicated and messy like all the worst breakups. Beautifully and vividly told, you've been cranking out a whole host of contenders for this challenge, DK!

Ugh, the ugliness of breakups :( You captured it so vividly!

Oh. My. God!!! I don't know what else to day. This is fantastic, and I won't be surprised if it places.

  • Brilliant Breakup Nonet! Especially liked: ‘ Ashes, ashes, we all fall down. Your urn broke just like I did.’✅

Sometimes we spend so much time picking other people up, we don't realize they aren't doing the same for us. 🥺 Excellent sentiment is this poem! Wonderful job!! ❤️ Also: I thought I was already subscribed to you - so weird! I am subscribed now :)

  • Sadly, people do wreck us like that. Loved your Nonet!

There's a lot to unravel here. The sad resentment is really well done. Great nonet!

Lingering feelings of abandonment can eat at you bit by bit. Which can lead to a nervous breakdown. I felt the frustration in this. Closure is not there yet. Well done!!!

Beautifully heartbreaking. Such a striking take on the challenge, the scene of a broken urn is another whole dimension of tragedy- wonderful work!
