Threads of the Day

Poem of sky colors

By Andrea Corwin Published 2 years ago 1 min read

pink sky at night

sailor’s delight

not reserved for those at sea

pink streaks over the tips of fir trees,

out in the distance they reach

for a strand, their evening shawl

quickly turning lavender,

releasing its shawl at sunrise, trading for

tangerine and ivory threads

that point us to our new day
