what came first? [poem]

what came first, kissing or language?

i have this feeling that it was kissing,

and the urge to say things around it came later.

what if speaking was built around love and protection and care?

what if?

every declaration is a long distance kiss?

[i hope you enjoyed this!, i wrote this a year after the air date of the episode, in some ways it has haunted me until i wrote it down. a few folks that have seen it have expressed how cogent it was and i hope that is a fairly universal experience despite it's distance from the acutally show.<3]
