Work Is A Four Letter Word
And I Refuse To Cuss

If Monday’s the spouse that’s been burning me out
Then Tuesday’s my mistress for flings
I’ve tried being faithful to Monday each week
But by Tuesday I’m seeking new things
See, “work ” is a virus that’s leaving me weak
The most dire and transmittable kind
And rem is the sleep that I constantly seek
When I can’t seem to empty my mind
How crazy the thoughts when I’m feeling fatigued
So random the crap in my brain
Why would such randomness leave me intrigued
If there’s never a profit to gain
It seems that this Monday had lasted a year
So I went to bed after a bite
My tossing and turning was getting severe
Which meant I’d be tossing all night
My mind began racing where thoughts go to dwell
I considered, while laying in bed
“If a snake eats itself, and starts at its tail
Then why can’t it swallow its head?”
