Observations On The Vocal Pride Community
Which Surprise Me

Introduction
I was wondering what to write about and thought I would look through the Vocal Communities. My usual posts are Poets and Fiction for creative works, then I do Beat, Confessions and Writers and after that Chapters, Art and various others.
I have posted in all forty eight Vocal communities and even the forty ninth Vocal community.
These are my baker's dozen so far in Pride
My Observations
Pride is the most undersubscribed community on Vocal which is a surprise to me, and there is barely a two to one ratio of stories to subscribers. I thought I had written a piece on the numbers in Vocal Communities but I cannot find it.
There are five creators who I see regularly posting there, so are they the only ones making up the numbers?
These are their Pride stories on their home pages:
Their combined ration is significantly more that two to one.
There are a lot of people supportive of the community, but I am surprised at how few contributors and stories there are, although if we look at how society is with people who do not fit media norms, maybe it is not surprising. Many of those issues are raised in the main book that I am reading at the moment:
When you think of Oscar Wilde, Alan Turing and the way women are treated since biblical times, although the Greeks seemed fine with letting someone love who they wanted to love, that may make people reticent to post in the community.
If you haven't posted there, please join one of Oneg's frequent challenges and help us swell the numbers.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading, and although this is not directly about PRIDE it is about the Vocal Pride community so I think that it does belong there.

I've not published in a lottttt of the communities and one of them is Pride. I'll see what I can do
Thanks for these observations, Mike! I think it's a nice boost for the Pride Community. I have 5 stories there, some are TS, and I just saw myself in the "Creators We're Loving" section which is cool - I guess because I posted there fairly recently. I love the community (both on Vocal and in the world at large) and will post there more!
I'd love to write something for that community. I'll think on it and come up with a topic!
Iโm trying to write at least one story for each community this year and Iโm struggling to come up with something for Pride. Maybe I should read some of the stories there for inspiration. Thanks for musing on this, Mike!
A great article, thankyou for your encouragement xx
I have two posts in the Pride section, but most of my Pride posts are poetry, so they have largely been posted in the poetry community. I actually find it frustrating that there is no LGBTQ tag in poetry.
