Pride Month
Pride Playlist
It's Pride Month, and it's been a while since I made a playlist article, so I figured that this was well overdue. Disclaimer: none of the songs listed here were actually intended to be Gay Anthems, but no-body who listened to them came away thinking "Oh, yes, totally about best friends/a straight couple/fitting in..."

The Truth About Rainbow Capitalism
On June 28, 1969, queer activist Marsha P. Johnson helped lead the Stonewall Uprising in Lower Manhattan, an event which sparked gay liberation in the 1960's and 70's. In 70's New York City, the first of an annual gay liberation march occurred, honouring the events of Stonewall. Since then, every June marks a month of visibility and remembrance within the global LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

PRIDE in a Small Town
I haven’t lived there in more than 32 years, but today I am so very PROUD to share the PRIDE that I have in my hometown of St. Johns, Michigan. This weekend, the small, rural, Midwestern, agricultural town where I grew up (population 7920,) hosted their second annual PRIDEFEST!

My Experience With Being Queer and Trans
Until recently I've always had a hard time with understanding and feeling included in romance. The idea of a romantic relationship was appealing but I could never understand the difference between a romantic relationship and friendship. I have a very complicated relationship with romance and now I can finally understand the reason. I'm grayromantic, which is on the romantic spectrum. I rarely feel romantic attraction and when I do it's confusing and hard to explain, that's the simple way to explain my attraction towards people.

Legacy
It is 1995 and you are in middle school. You are just starting to notice that people are starting to date. You noticed the girls, but you also noticed the guys. You think this is normal. You have little crushes like everyone else. The difference is you have them on both boys and girls. You go through middle school hiding your crushes on the guys and pursuing the crushes on the girls. You have a few girlfriends in middle school.

World Prepares To Commemorate Pride 2022
Pride Month occurs every June and helps to commemorate the Stonewall Riots when in the earl hours of June 28th 1969, New York City Police raided the Stonewall Inn which was a Gay Club situated in Greenwich Village in New York City. This sparked a riot among bar patrons and people who lived in the local area. The police man handled and dragged people out of the bar which lead to six days of protests and violent clashes with law enforcement officers outside the bar on Christopher Street in neighbouring streets and in nearby Christopher Park. These riots served as a marking point for the gay rights movement in the United States and all over the world.

Pride Songs
When I started researching for this article, I did not expect it to turn into mostly Foo Fighters and Paramore songs. I was happily surprised that I found so many songs from them. In this article I am going to take songs that are not necessarily gay songs and relate them to pride and coming out.
